Inflation in India

• According to data released by Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, the year-on-year
inflation rate based on all India Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 4.75% (Provisional) for the month of
May, 2024.

• The retail inflation eased to a 12-month low of 4.75 per cent on an annual basis in May as against 11-
month low of 4.83 per cent in the previous month.
