           Export diversification across regions continued during June 2026, with strong growth observed across
           several Asian and African markets.

           Top export destinations (June 2026 growth):

               • Oman – 189.60%
               • South Africa – 114.04%
               • Malaysia – 99.18%
               • Singapore – 48.91%
               • China – 31.49%

           Top import sources (June 2026 growth):
               • Taiwan – 135.03%
               • Russia – 85.02%
               • China – 40.26%
               • United States – 33.86%
               • United Arab Emirates – 24.62%

           Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI)

           The Index of Core Industries (ICI) registered a robust year-on-year growth of 5.0 per cent
           (Provisional) in June 2026, improving from 3.2 per cent recorded in May 2026. The growth reflects a
           broad-based improvement in core sector activity, led by strong performance in Iron Ore, Electricity,
           Cement and Steel, while sectors such as Natural Gas, Crude Oil, Refinery Products and
           Fertilizers continued to record contraction. During the first quarter of FY 2026–27 (April–June 2026), the
           cumulative growth of the core industries stood at 3.6 per cent, compared with 1.0 per cent during the
           corresponding period of the previous year, indicating a strengthening of industrial activity.
