Indian Gas Market
• Gross production of natural gas for the month of May 2025 (P) was 2979 MMSCM which was
lower by 4.0% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
• Total Import of LNG (Provisional) during the month of May 2025 (P) was 2977 MMSCM (lower by
15.3% over the corresponding month of the previous year).
• Natural Gas available for Sale during May 2025 (P) was 5478 MMSCM (P) (decrease of 10.2% over
the corresponding month of the previous year).
• Total Gas Consumption Availability during May 2025 (P) was 5918 MMSCM (Provisional). Major
consumers were Fertilizer (26%), City Gas Distribution (CGD) (23%), Power (14%), Refinery (8%)
and Petrochemicals (6%).
