Growth Forecast for Emerging Market and Developing Economies

• In China, growth for 2026 is projected at 4.4 percent, revised upward due to lower US tariff
pressures and supportive policy measures.

• Growth is projected to decline from 3.6 percent in 2025 to 1.9 percent in 2026, before recovering
to 4.6 percent in 2027 in the Middle East and Central Asia.

• Growth is expected to remain stable at 4.3 percent in 2026 and 4.4 percent in 2027 in sub-Saharan
Africa.

• Growth is projected to remain at 2.3 percent in 2026, before increasing to 2.7 percent in 2027 in
Latin America and the Caribbean.
