           Food Index increased to 6.14 per cent in June from 4.49 per cent in May, highlighting the growing
           contribution of food prices to wholesale inflation.

           The newly introduced Output Producer Price Index (Output PPI), which measures the prices received by
           domestic producers for goods sold in the domestic market, also indicated sustained producer-level
           inflation during June 2026. The Output PPI for All Commodities increased to 109.9 in June from 109.6 in
           May. Sector-wise, the Output PPI stood at 114.1 for Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing, 121.5 for Mining
           and Quarrying, 109.2 for Manufactured Products, and 92.0 for electricity, suggesting that producer prices
           remained particularly elevated in primary and mining-related activities.
