A review of the global exploration trends, changes in fiscal terms, opportunities in Latin America and the impact of low oil price was discussed in a series of presentations at an Energy Seminar organized jointly by PetroFed and IHS at New Delhi on October 13, 2015.
The half-day seminar was addressed by a team of E&P experts from IHS who presented an independent analysis on the global upstream outlook and the growth opportunities around the world.
The fiscal Terms for E&P in the background of recent changes and potential implications of a persistent low oil price were presented by Mr. Steve Parish, Senior Principal Economist of IHS. Reviews of the current E&P activity in Latin America and thereafter in the Middle East were presented by Ms. Deborah Resley, Latin America Regional Manager, IHS and Mr. Stuart Lewis, Senior Director, International Regional Teams, IHS. The Chief Upstream Strategist for IHS Energy, Mr. Bob Fryklund elaborated on the issue of What Does It Take to be a Top 10 Explorer?
The presentations witnessed intense discussions by the top managers and CEOs present of both, private sector and the public sector companies operating in India.
