SCADA Security

The critical importance of security requirements in design of SCADA systems in the Oil & Gas sector was stressed by Shri Nandkumar Saravade, CEO, Data Security Council of India (DSCI), while inaugurating a workshop on SCADA Security on August 13, 2015 at New Delhi. The workshop was organized by the Petroleum Federation of India in knowledge partnership with DSCI.

While welcoming earlier, Shri A.K. Arora, Director General, PetroFed expressed the need to sensitize the hydrocarbon industry on SCADA security challenges.

The programme witnessed 14 presentations by domain experts in three sessions focusing on SCADA Fundamentals, Implementation & Operation; Instrumentation Security, and Advanced SCADA Security. The sessions were chaired by Shri N.K. Barat, Former GM (E&T) & Head SCADA, ONGC; Ms. R. Priyamvada, GM (Instrumentation), EIL and Mr. Rajiv Chawla, ED (IS), IndianOil.

The sessions attracted intense participation.
