Global Energy Leadership Dialogue - 'Energy Security Rewritten '

 S&P Global Energy and the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) strengthened their strategic engagement at the FIPI–S&P Global Energy Leadership Talk Series 2026, convened under the theme “Energy Security Rewritten”. Held on 24 June 2026 at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, the closed-door dialogue brought together senior government stakeholders, FIPI leadership, and chairmen, directors, CEOs and board-level executives from 26 leading oil and gas companies for a focused discussion on the future of India’s energy security. 



Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, addressed the gathering, setting the context for the strategic importance of energy security for India’s growth and resilience. He also innaugrated the Talk Series that FIPI and S&P Global jointly convened.  



FIPI leadership was represented by Shri A S Sahney, Chairman, FIPI and Chairman, Indian Oil; Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman, FIPI and Chairman & CEO, ONGC; Shri Sarthak Behuria, Co-Chairman, FIPI and Chairman, Jio-BP Mobility; and Shri V Satish Kumar, Director General, FIPI. 



S&P Global Energy experts led an intelligence-driven agenda focused on market disruption, chokepoint risks, supply-chain resilience and the changing dimensions of energy security. Abhishek Tomar, Head of Data and Energy OPCO Leader, anchored the session and framed energy security as a strategic leadership issue requiring deeper data, sharper foresight and stronger preparedness. 



This was followed by a series of key sessions focused on navigating volatile global energy markets, trade flows, energy transition, and the supply chain.  



The dialogue provided participants with valuable perspectives on evolving global energy markets, emerging geopolitical and market risks, and their potential implications for India’s energy sector. It enabled senior industry leaders to obtain insights that could support more informed strategic thinking and decision-making in an increasingly interconnected and uncertain global energy environment.
