The theme of this year’s India Pavilion was ‘Synergy in Energy – Partnerships for a sustainable Future” wherein we portrayed capabilities of Indian Oil & Gas companies to the world.

The Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri formally inaugurated the India Pavilion on November 15, 2021. The inaugural ceremony was witnessed by Shri Pavan Kapoor, India’s Ambassador to UAE; Shri Subhash Kumar, Co-Chairman, FIPI & Chairman, ONGC; Ms. Esha Srivastava, Director (International Cooperation), MoP&NG and several other dignitaries from Indian Oil & Gas industry.

At the ADIPEC inaugural global discussion, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri said that India will deliver its commitments made by Hon’ble Prime Minister at Glasgow and reiterated that India is one of the few countries in the world that have delivered on their Paris commitments.  

On the side-lines of ADIPEC-2021, Hon’ble Minister held bilateral meetings with HE Mohammed Abdulatif al Fares hon’ble Minister of Oil and Minister of Higher education, Kuwait, HE Mr. Pavel Sorokin, Dy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Mr. Fathi Birol, ED IEA, HE Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber Minister of Industry & advanced Technology and witnessed signing of side letter agreement between ISPRL and ADNOC. He also had discussions with HE Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Hon’ble Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE, Ms. Alexa Burr, Vice President of American Petroleum Institute, Secretary General Joseph McMonige, IEF, Mr. Oliver Le Peuch CEO Schlumberger, Mr. Tengku Muhammead Taufik, President & Group CEO Petronas, Bilateral meeting with HE Bento Costa Lima de Albuquerque, Minister of Mines & Energy, Brazil.  

In the evening of November 16, 2021, the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons organized an India Session titled ‘Investment Opportunities in E&P Sector” wherein keynote address was delivered by the Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri. The Additional Secretary (Exploration), MoP&NG spoke on investment opportunities in E&P sector. Participants were earlier welcomed by Shri Pavan Kapoor India’s Ambassador to UAE.

The Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban affairs had most of his above mentioned meetings at FIPI’s India Pavilion. On the last day of the exhibition, Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas also visited the India Pavilion along with Chairman, IndianOil and Chairman, FIPI
