The eighth edition of the Russian Energy Week (REW) International Forum was held in Moscow from October 15–17, 2025, under the theme “Creating the Energy of the Future Together.” The forum served as a prominent global platform for thematic discussions, plenary sessions, and an exhibition of advanced technologies and equipment for the energy sector.
Organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Government of Moscow, the three-day event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the global energy ecosystem. The forum witnessed participation of over 7,000 delegates, from Russia and abroad. The exhibition hosted around 100 exhibitors and attracted significant number of visitors.
The key industry event of the year provided a vibrant showcase of the development prospects of the domestic fuel and energy sector of Russia, and the potential for international cooperation. Forum hosted business leaders, scientists, policymakers, and experts from around the globe to discuss the key issues and challenges facing the national and global fuel and energy sector, to share views on current trends and to explore future prospects for international cooperation.
In the plenary session, Russian President Mr. Vladimir Putin highlighted essential aspects of the global energy market. Russia plans to strengthen its position as a global energy leader and develop partnerships to create a sustainable global energy model for the benefit of future generations.
He further highlighted, “It is especially important to effectively manage resource production and reserves and ensure the technological and environmental development of the industry in order to supply the domestic market, achieve national development goals, and fulfill external agreements. We have done this consistently and will certainly continue to do so. This is one of the ultimate priorities. Understanding these tasks and challenges, Russia intends to strengthen its position as a global energy leader and develop partnerships to build a fair and sustainable global energy model for the benefit of future generations”.
Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), an apex Society of entities in the Oil & Gas sector, participated in the Russian Energy Week for marketing and promotion of the upcoming 4th edition of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, the flagship event of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), scheduled to be held from 27th to 30th January 2026 at ATI-ONGC, Goa India.
The two members delegation from FIPI, headed by Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Director General, actively engaged with a wide spectrum of delegates, exhibitors, and industry stakeholders during the forum. The delegation highlighted recent policy initiatives, investment opportunities, and technological advancements shaping India’s energy sector, while also underscoring the country’s firm commitment to achieving its net-zero emissions target by 2070 through a balanced and sustainable energy transition. In addition, the delegation extended invitations to global participants to take part in the forthcoming India Energy Week 2026, positioning it as a premier platform for dialogue, collaboration, and business engagement across the global energy value chain.
FIPI’s exhibition stall witnessed substantial footfall throughout the event, attracting considerable interest from industry representatives, policymakers, and international delegates. The stall served as an effective platform for disseminating information on India Energy Week 2026, facilitating meaningful interactions, and fostering new connections. A number of visitors conveyed strong interest in participating in the upcoming edition, reflecting the increasing global relevance and recognition of India Energy Week as a leading international energy forum.
